Monk is an established muralist with public art in both Grand Rapids and Holland, MI. He hosts aerosol workshops for youth and teens and can frequently be found painting live at community events and festivals. Monk most enjoys community art projects that get residents and youth engaged to create a sense of belonging by helping community member's voices be "seen" on a public wall.

Community engagement with purpose is the mantra of Monk Recordings. Monk is the co-founder of the Hip Hop Association of Advancement & Education (California) and was a founding board member of the nonprofit wing of All of the Above Hip Hop Academy in Lansing, MI. He has extensive experience in youth mentoring though music, visual art workshops and programs for youth. Monk is also the co-founder of One Peace Hip Hop Festival, a dry all ages music, art, and resource sharing event that engages with different neighborhoods within Grand Rapids.
